Marketing / Growth manager

The role:

Reporting into our Head of Marketing, the Growth / Marketing manager will be focussed on driving growth for Snaptrip through a range of marketing functions. As part of this role you will:

  • Work with our Head of Marketing and COO to devise and execute all elements of the marketing roadmap

  • Work with our Head of Marketing and external consultants to drive SEO growth - this can be a large or small part of the role depending on your experience and skillset

  • Help devise and execute a CRM strategy to help improve customer activation, repeat bookings and CLTV

  • Work with our external PR agency to gain coverage which results in link building for SEO and brand building to boost awareness of Snaptrip

  • Help identify new or under utilised opportunities across all marketing channels - from PPC to partnerships to social and content 

  • Directly manage a marketing executive who’s workload currently covers content production, social media management and copywriting

  • Work with our Data Scientist to understand what works and what doesn’t

  • Collaborate with the Product Team to maximise growth across all pirate metrics and not simply acquisition

  • Probably a few other things, we’re a startup after all!

The person:

We don’t mind if you’ve particular experience in one discipline or are a full-stack marketing guru, we’re simply looking for somebody with experience of helping startups grow and huge passion and enthusiasm whilst doing so. As such, the candidate must be able to display:

  • 3+ years experience of working for a startup in a marketing function where you are able to display a track record of delivering growth - this doesn’t have to be in travel but the startup does need to have been consumer focussed

  • A general understanding of all marketing disciplines - ideally with a particular focus on SEO

  • The ability to wow us with something that you’ve done in the past

  • An analytical mind and understanding that data should drive our decision making - you should know your way around a Google Analytics account

  • The ability to supplement the analytical with the creative and think outside of the box like all good growth hackers

  • A focus on ROI - we have generous budgets (for a startup, we’re no Apple!) to spend as long as the activity can yield a return

  • An ability to communicate clearly and collaborate as part of a small startup team

  • A drive and desire to get stuck in and be self-starting

  • The usual stuff like being able to use Office and write an email clearly without mixing up ‘they’re’ and ‘their’

We don’t want to tell this member of staff what they will be doing, we want them to be able to tell us what their job should involve, as long as this results in growth of our KPIs.
